Domain tools

Two lookups, free, with no account and no upsell. Both run on the server because neither upstream can be called from a browser, and both show what the extension costs beside the answer — which is the half every other lookup tool leaves out.

What these tools do not do

  • They do not show a registrant's name or address. Registries redact those under ICANN policy and European data protection law, and any tool claiming otherwise is serving a stale cache or a paid database.
  • They do not tell you a domain is available to buy. A registry with no record means no record — reserved names, premium pricing and registry policy are invisible to a lookup.
  • They store nothing. A lookup is passed to the registry or the resolver and the answer is rendered; there is no account and no history.
